Q: Are these earbuds ANC based?
A: No, these earbuds are equipped with Passive Noise Cancellation (PNC). While both PNC and ANC allow you to listen to music at lower volumes than earbuds without noise canceling, passive noise cancellation is healthier for your hearing in general. Active noise cancellation cancels out outside noise by creating an equal and opposite noise. So, while you won’t need to turn up the volume to hear your music as well, you’ll still be exposed to higher decibels of noise than you would with PNC at the same volume level.
