Q: Are the manufacturing defects reported after launching in the US resolved in these tablets imported to India?
A: The tablet I purchased was manufactured in October 2014. The power button is recessed and a bit difficult to operate. However, the awake on double tap feature of this tablet helps mitigate this issue. Another issue is some backlight bleed from the top of the screen. From web search, I understand that both of these issues were present in early batches but have been addressed. After contacting customer services, I was given the option of returning the tablet with a full refund, but no option for replacement. I am considering whether these issues warrant a return of an otherwise excellent product. I would advise buyers to check the date of manufacture from the seller before buying.
Q: Are the following hardware issues resolved in the new batch? (Light bleeding, Squishy back, Bad Power and Volume buttons)
A: I do not see any problems with light bleed or the squishy back. However, the buttons are a bit troublesome.
Q: Is OTG supported? Is a microSD card supported?
A: 1. Yes, OTG is supported. You just need to install a file manager app such as ES File Explorer.
2. No, there is no microSD card slot.
